Aviation Made Simple.
Flight-department-level aircraft management for individual owners and small fleets. We simplify ownership so you can focus on flying.
The resources of your own flight department.
When you fly your own airplane, you become its scheduler, its records keeper, its maintenance coordinator, its compliance officer, and its advocate against the shops you hire. Most owners didn't sign up for any of that.
Aviation Made Simple is what we built to put those resources back in your hands without you having to do the work.

At our KBLI hangar
AMS customers get preferred scheduling, preferred pricing, and our team doing the work directly. The records are kept in CrewChief GA as the work happens.
Elsewhere in the PNW or beyond
For AMS customers based outside KBLI, we coordinate with vetted local providers and stay involved as your advocate — pre-work scope review, in-progress check-ins, deliverable verification, and records ingest.
CrewChief GA is the records backbone for AMS.
Same digital platform aviation professionals use to track logbook entries, AD compliance, scheduled inspections, and squawk history. AMS customers get a seat included with their plan. Records live there, accessible to you and to us, and nothing gets lost in a paper logbook drawer.

Common questions before you enroll.
If yours isn't here, pick up the phone or send us an email — we'd rather have the conversation.
Why do I need someone to "manage" my aircraft maintenance? I've gotten by just fine until now.
Owners regularly experience poorly performed maintenance, extended repairs, confusing documentation, and unnecessary expenses — most of which are preventable if someone with your interests in mind is paying attention. AMS combines experienced A&P/IA expertise with specialized software to keep the work right, the records straight, and your costs predictable.
Will you be maintaining my aircraft personally?
Yes, in most cases. When your aircraft is at our KBLI shop, our team performs the work directly. AMS is the layer of management, advocacy, and record-keeping on top of that hands-on work.
For AMS customers based outside KBLI, we coordinate with vetted local service providers and stay involved as your advocate — pre-work scope review, in-progress check-ins, deliverable verification, and records ingest.
What does the monthly cost actually cover?
The monthly fee covers your CrewChief GA seat, scheduled records work, AOG access, your dedicated A&P/IA contact, and the planning + coordination time. It does not cover the cost of physical maintenance, parts, or repairs — those are quoted and billed separately at preferred-pricing rates for AMS customers when the work is at our hangar.
How do I get started?
Pick your tier and enroll directly, or contact us first if you have questions. We typically follow enrollment with a short onboarding call to set up your CrewChief GA account and walk through your aircraft's current records state.
Why owners stay.
"Zefting Aviation has been at my side through three aircraft purchases, major upgrades, as well as my recurrent training."— Adrian · Beechcraft Baron 58P
"I like flying, not double checking that my paperwork is legal. As long as I own an airplane, I'll be a customer of Zefting Aviation."— Lowell · Cessna 180
